Vision Health
This cancer awareness and prevention pack was developed for use within local communities. The content is easy to understand and the pack uses quizzes, worksheets, crosswords and word searches as a means of sharing information.
Need2Know
Need2Know is a cancer prevention resource designed for young people between the ages of 14 - 16. It focuses on positive lifestyle choices that help prevent cancer and covers healthy eating and physical activity, smoking prevention and cessation, alcohol misuse, care in the sun, body awareness and sexual health.
Adolescent smoking cessation in schools
A ready-to-use resource for teachers who wish to give active help to pupils who are experiencing difficulties in their attempts to stop smoking.
Cancer Control in Practice
A training and resource handbook for the primary health care team to broaden their understanding of a range of cancer issues which may be encountered in day to day activities.
Cancer in the Workplace
A resource designed to enable all those concerned with the health and welfare of workers to reduce the impact of cancer in the workplace.
Environmental Health Perspectives on Cancer
This handbook has been produced to encourage those involved in environmental health to focus on cancer-related issues in their work and to explore the associations between Cancer Prevention and Environmental Health Practice.
Smoking matters for young people
This handbook helps youth workers and teachers involve teenagers in issues related to tobacco use.
Sunwise
'Get Sunwise' provides teachers and youth leaders with a range of materials created to encourage children's active participation and features 'Cool Cat', the comic strip star.
Help smokers quit kit
The information contained in this manual is a valuable resource for a wide range of professionals and lay people who are, or wish to be, involved in helping people to stop smoking.
Tobacco Kills
This leaflet focuses on working towards an effective tobacco control strategy in Northern Ireland.
Guidelines on developing and implementing a school policy on smoking
These guidelines were produced by The Ulster Cancer Foundation and The Health Promotion Agency. They provide guidance on how a policy may be prepared or an existing policy reviewed. The guidelines have been approved by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland.
