UCF is a vigorous and independent voice for the improvement of cancer services, healthy public policy and patients’ rights. Through our establishment of the All Party Group on Cancer and the Patients’ Forum, we take the lead in many public campaigns.
We actively lobby MEPs, MPs, MLAs, local councils, government departments and the media on a range of topics that affect the health of local communities.
Examples of our work are the recent successful campaigns to build the new cancer centre at Belfast City Hospital and the Smokefree Workplaces public consultation that achieved more responses than any other UK region.
Overall UCF is committed to working towards the vision of best practice for everyone and the control of cancer in our community.
