Dealing with a diagnosis of cancer - Blame and guilt

Sometimes people blame themselves, or others for their illness and try to find reasons for why it should have happened to them. This may be because we often feel better if we know why something has happened. However, doctors rarely know exactly what has caused cancer to occur, therefore there is no reason for you to blame yourself.

Try to talk to someone about how you feel rather than hide your feelings.
