This year we are encouraging all our supporters to 'Think Pink!' during October, breast cancer awareness month.
We are delighted to be working again with Gordons Chemists, as our main campaign sponsor, and our new partner Translink, Metro. Together we want to increase awareness of breast cancer, its signs and symptoms whilst raising much needed funds.
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer amongst women in Northern Ireland. Every year there are around 900 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed with one in 12 women developing the disease during their lifetime.
In recent years, due to increased awareness and early detection, more women have been diagnosed with breast cancer but the good news is that survival rates are improving. Today, there are around 6,000 women living with a diagnosis of breast cancer in Northern Ireland.
Our campaign encourages women of all ages to be breast aware and to attend breast screening appointments when invited to do so.
