Moores Department Store, Coleraine held a special ?Girls Night In? with over 300 ladies to raise vital funds for the life-saving work of the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF).
Guests enjoyed a champagne and chocolate reception followed by a shopping experience that makes any ?girls night in? special with 20% off all lingerie, a £10 Moores voucher awarded for every £50 spent on the new Autumn clothing collection and a wide range of pampering sessions on offer at the cosmetics counter.
A fundraising raffle was held on the evening with fantastic prizes supplied by Moores, which included £200 fashion voucher, £50 lingerie voucher and £50 Clarins cosmetics.
Heather Burns, Moores Department Store said, ?We were thrilled to hold a fundraising evening for the UCF. We would like to send a special thanks to all of our staff who helped prepare for the event and to our guests who gave so generously to such a worthy cause.?
The ?Girls Night In?, held on Thursday 30th Sept, the eve Breast Cancer Awareness Month, brought ladies together to raise awareness of the disease and to encourage more women to be breast aware.
Sylvia Lucy, Development Officer North/North West, UCF said, ? We would like to thank Moores of Coleraine and everyone who attended the ?Girls Night In? for their enthusiasm and support for this fundraising evening. This year marks the UCF?s 7th annual Pink Ribbon Campaign, a very important time of the year for us, in raising both awareness of breast cancer and funds to continue our work, which relies almost entirely on voluntary donations.
?The UCF understands that there is little that causes as much anxiety and distress as a diagnosis of cancer. If you would like more information on the services provided by the UCF, support, counselling or just to talk about cancer please contact UCF?s freefone helpline on 0800 783 33 39.?
