Grab Your Leads And Go Walkies! For Charity
By Derval Keenan, 6/2/2004 3:22:21 PM

Eukanuba and celebrity guest Ben Fogle are inviting members of the public to grab your leads and join them in support the Ulster Cancer Foundation?’s annual Dogswalk event at Stormont Estate, Belfast on Sunday 30th May.

The Eukanuba Dogswalk is a non-competitive dog walkathon, which will raise money for the fight against cancer here in Northern Ireland.

Castaway star and Countryfile presenter Ben Fogle, will be presenting certificates and goodie bags to all those families whose dogs complete the walk and giving away a number of spot prizes during the event.

Neill Grainger, Senior Development Officer, Ulster Cancer Foundation added, ?“This event promises to be a great family day out. As well as the actual walk there will also be a kid's treasure hunt, face painters, dog handling and falconry displays, Ekido sword demonstration, clowns, refreshments and much more.?”

Sponsors of the event, Eukanuba are also running a competition to win a trip for four people to the world famous ?“Crufts?” dog show at the NEC in Birmingham. See details of how to enter at all Jollyes Pet Food Stores across the province.

Walk times are between 1.30pm and 5.30pm with a registration cost of £10 per family and dogs. If you would like a sponsorship form before the event to help raise vital funds for the charity please contact UCF before the event or for further details contact Neill or Sarah on 028 9038 6307 or email: s.atcheson@ulstercancer.org
