UCF has made two key appointments in the west of the province.
Sylvia Lucy has become development officer for Fermanagh, Derry and Tyrone, and Michelle Donnelly has started work as a nurse counsellor in Altnagelvin Hospital.
Sylvia will be working with local community groups and businesses to develop new fundraising projects.
She takes up her post after being a fundraiser for Barnardos for four years. For nine years before that she was manager of the Barnabas Trust, the community care group based in Enniskillen.
Sylvia says: ?I am looking forward to the challenge of my new job. People have always appreciated the UCF?s very worthwhile work and I know that they will continue to make generous contributions to our funds.?
Michelle is counselling cancer patients and their families at Altnagelvin Hospital. She is one of five nurse counsellors funded by UCF at cancer units throughout the province.
Michelle, who is from Chester, has been a nurse since 1990. She was based at Stanford University in California for four years, specialising in oncology and bone marrow transplants.
She has been a volunteer cancer counsellor at the Derry Well Women centre for two years and will complete a diploma course in counselling in May
