Let's Make Cancer 'History'

We need our Cancer Centre now! Please sign the petition today!

Why?

One in 3 people develop cancer at some stage. Every year 9000 local people are diagnosed with cancer in Northern Ireland. That?s 24 of our friends and neighbours who get this news every single day.

They deserve the very best treatment. But while our health professionals are doing fantastic work, our services are deteriorating quickly. Staff have to use equipment and procedures that are well past their best.

We were promised a new Cancer Centre in 1995. Seven years later work has not even begun and we still await its approval by the Department of Health.

WE NEED URGENT GOVERNMENT ACTION NOW!

Our friends and relations can wait no longer. Second best will no longer do. We demand a cancer service where treatment is as good as in the USA and Western Europe, not one that resembles some Eastern European countries.

The Ulster Cancer Foundation?s Patient Action Group?s main aim is to see the Department of Health give an immediate green light to the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre.

In recent months we have lobbied our local Councillors, MPs, MLAs and the Minister on this issue. Please help us by electronically signing this petition!
