Print a copy of these points to help you quit smoking and remain a non-smoker

Do you really want to stop? Think about what you gain by stopping.
Choose a good time to stop.
Pick a day.  No time like the present!
As soon as you can, get rid of all your cigarettes, ashtrays and lighters.
Some people find it helps if they cut down, but most find stopping (cold turkey) is better.
Just take it a day at a time.
Avoid situations in which you know you will get strong urges to smoke.
Side effects will pass sooner that you think.
After your first enthusiasm don't let yourself slip.  Learn to relax.
Get support - Ulster Cancer Foundation, teachers, tutors, friends, or parents.
