The Lunn's Two Bridges Swim
8/7/2005

John H Lunn (Jewellers) Ltd is organising a very unique event called 'The Lunn's Two Bridges Swim'. Thomas Quigley, who manages the store – and a few intrepid others (we think approx. 10) – has kindly volunteered to swim between the two bridges on the Ri

This event involves braving the cold, currents and whatever else lurks in the river to swim a distance of two and a half miles on Sunday 7 August at 2.00pm.

Thomas has been training for this event for a number of weeks and all of the team in Shipquay Street is dedicated to raising as much funding as possible. The entire team at Lunn’s is committed to supporting the Ulster Cancer Foundation and many of us will be there on Sunday 7 August to encourage and spur Thomas on.

Any donations that people would like to make would be very gratefully received and can be made via the store at 10 Shipquay Street, Londonderry (t: 028 7137 7877).
