Ben Nevis Challenge 2005 8/19/2005 to 11/5/2005
|
Why not join us for a fun filled weekend amongst some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery inthe world and ascend Britain's highest mountain, whilst raising vital funds for UCF.
Over the weekends of 19th August,16th September, 30th September and 14th October 2004, we will be taking a group of walkers on a sponsored ascent of Ben Nevis, which at 4,480ft is Britain's highest mountain.
The average ascent takes around 8 hours -the maximum radient is only 1:5, any normally active person should have no problem in reaching the 'roof of Britain'.
We must ask that everyone raises a minimum of £390- this will ensure that not only the costs are covered but more importantly UCF benefit significantly.
For further details contact Neill Grainger on 028 9066 3281or go online to www.ukoutdoorpursuits.co.uk and don't forget to state your want to raise money for UCF.

Comments about this event:
Would really encourage people to participate. I went last year and really enjoyed myself - the craic, the people and the party was excellent.

One of the most worthwhile things I have ever done in my life, for a worthwhile cause. I'm back three days from the 13th September 2002 Event and I'm still on a high. Even if you find the ascent difficult, I promise you won't regret it! You will regret not participating in the experience of a life time.

I took part in The Ben Nevis Challenge 19th October 2002. A fantastic experience and the fact that we had snow at the summit made it extra special. I would strongly recommend it to anyone and all aches and pains melt away when you descend the hill and are greated with a hug from Hilary. Remember if you do decide to support this worthy cause you will get more out of it the more you put into it!
